The second classic throwback to Upper East Side style I’ve seen in a couple of weeks. This one has some sass, too.

The building of The Harper was blocked for many years because the lady at 312 wouldn’t sell.
She barricaded herself into her building. I lost track of her story after December 2015 but I noticed the construction recently.

Shaller and Weber seem to have sublet space to a jazz club and an art gallery.
Today’s pictorial is all words, no snaps. Of course I hope the words will prove snappy.
I took the walk from home to gym with East End Avenue as my conduit.
There was sunshine and people, along with the many familiar buildings for me to enjoy.
One dog signaled impending aggression by wagging his tail. Another was so dejected by his owner’s immersion in his cellphone that his tail nearly swept the ground.
There was a slight breeze and the hum of traffic. Did I mention the sunshine?
I wondered when the Queen Anne complex at Henderson Place was built. I noticed that Gracie Mansion has an address; it’s 181 East End Avenue.
This was a pleasant and fruitful trip.

This struck me as cute, seeing a scooter parking “lot” emerge next to a UES school.
